      Dear Support Team,

Hope you’re doing well. I’ve got a quick question about setting up something in the WP Pizza plugin, specifically for preorders. I’m using Preorder Version 3.8.3 and WP Pizza Version 3.18.9.

I noticed there’s an option to not require a timeslot for orders when the shop’s open, letting customers pick “ASAP” instead. It’s super handy and got me thinking – is there a way to do something similar for preorders? Basically, I want my customers to be able to choose “ASAP” for their delivery time when they preorder, so they get their order as soon as we’re open without picking a specific time.

Is there a straightforward way to set this up, or do I need to tweak some settings? Any advice or steps you can share would be awesome.

      Thanks in advance !

      Loïc

        Hi,

It is entirely deliberate that people have to choose a distinct timeslot when you are not open.

If you give people the option to choose “ASAP” when you are not open, they *will* complain to you “where is my food” as people simply do not read stuff.
I.e they will not be aware that your shop is closed and expect their food within 30 minutes or whatever is the normal time during opening hours.

This is based on conversations I had with many users of the plugin.
You honestly do not want this option and there’s no tweaking or steps you can do to enable this either in the plugin (other than re-writing the code itself of course)

          Hi Olly,

Thanks for the quick answer. Fully understandable from your point of view.

I could do it in front only, but it would be cleaner using filters. Any guidance on a filter to handle preorder time slots ?

          Thanks,
          Loïc

Isn’t really from *my* point of view to be honest, just from feedback received …

Are you looking for this sort of thing ?

Thanks for the link. I’ll check out the resources and see if there’s a way to adapt the filters for our needs.

              Best,
              Loïc
