      Hi,

if I buy the PayPal extension, is it possibile to set a maximum number of items a client can buy with cash?
It’s to avoid stupid pranks, if someone order 10+ pizzas, he must pay in advance with PayPal.

      Thank you.

        Hi,

first of all, sorry to have to send you here from the wordpress forum and ask your question again. the wordpress mods are quite strict on what can and cannot be posted on their support forum (which i guess is fair enough).

in answer to your question though: no, sorry ( not at the moment anyway).

          Hi Olly,

          no problem 🙂

It would be useful to set it as an option inside the WPPizza ordering settings; I thought about your PayPal extension, but maybe just adding a custom field to give a choice would be ok.
In the same section where you set the minimum price for a free delivery or such, have a field with “how many ‘max number’ pizzas may be ordered and paid cash / at pick up / at home delivery?”. I hope you can understand what I mean 🙂
I’m really scared that a moron could order 10/15 pizzas and send them to the wrong address or some other stupid prank like this.

            i do

            >and send them to the wrong address

understand what you mean but *might* be a bit more involved (programatically) for various reasons. will have a think / not sure yet

although you could – of course – disable cash on delivery completely and only accept CC payments (i know, that’s most likely not how restrictive you want things to be , just saying)

TIA if you can think about a solution 🙂

I cannot disable cash on delivery completely, a lot of people usually order 1/2/3 pizzas only and in Italy cash is (still) king.
But I have an indea, I could use the optional order setting “Some Countries/Jurisdictions require another, final , non-editable confirmation page before sending the order.” to put an alert about the need to pay in advance for a given number of items or a given total. And put there a link to PayPal. What do you think about it, as a workaround?
