for your info.
finally i had some time to update the authorize.net gateway.
although the action hooks we talked about above are still in there and should still work as described, it might not be a bad idea to check your CIM things once if/when you update the pluginagain, it should still all be fine, but better safe than sorry i guess and i just thought i’d mention it as quite a lot has changed in the plugin to make it – at least a bit – less messy (after all the previous version is almost a year old)
>Sometimes the server doesn’t always allow the order to poll
i shall not get involved in the rest here, but – surely – the answer to any errors is not to ignore them, but to find out what is causing it and fix it ….
i KNOW there are other plugins that – for no reason at all – think they need to pollute every page in the admin and cause errors without end which in turn will stop any other script from running….
check your console when it occurs – ctr+shift+i -> console on chrome , something similar on other browsers
let me put it this way.
there is no right or wrong way to do things. if you prefer to do it the way you are doing it, that’s fine by me.
personally i would do it differently , but at the end of the day it’s you who has to maintain things that way
or – in short – prices assigned to pizzas/menu items will not be changed from whatever you do elsewhere (ignoring any custom scripting of course)
>To prevent us from altering the price on more than 70 pizzas or on all more than a hundred we created the groups
how does that help ?
once you set the prices on a pizza, changing the default price in the sizes section makes no difference….>Takes longer …
than maintaining 300 ingredients ?
>we will have to change prices on either all or almost all
i don’t understand this at all. if you enter a new pizza , you will have to enter a bunch of data anyway, so entering 3 prices (and only if they differ form the defaults) does not sound like too much of hardship. and once it’s set it – presumably – stays that way. if you then have another ingredient you want to offer for all , just add it one time (or indeed if you do not offer one anymore, just delete that one – once)
you can do this whichever way you like of course, but that approach sounds VERY messy to me
i’m still not getting it
surely, you just set the prices per pizza anyway ?!>Now with some good will we can put the pizza’s in to nine different price groups (effectively “meal sizes”) and to those meal sizes I can connect the Ingredients.
why would you want to do that if they ALL come in 3 sizes (ie “Normal”, “Deep pan” and “Family” )?
just set one size option to have those 3 sizes. set all your pizzas to be that size.
add your 34 ingredients to that size
and that’s that .
(obviously , you can also use custom groups to then split your ingredients into distinct sub groups so to speak, but you will only have to do this once for all and will only have to maintain 34 ingredients 1x….am i missing something ?)I might be wrong of course – or misunderstand your scenario – but it appears to me you are missing something fundamental in the way sizes work
(maybe this screenshot helps ?)??
that can really only mean that you have no menu item that belongs to that size group
maybe this image helps to understand how it all fits together
>but I had already sent our flyers/letters promoting the discount code.
i figured (that’s why i asked)>I will update the plugin as usual and try and see if it works during the day
that would be very much appreciated if you could and let me know.
the – now hopefully squashed – bug would/could also pretty much explain all of the above.there were also a couple of other VERY obscure things you will unlikely to have ever noticed in your scenario , but wile i was at it i fixed those too
you’ll see the update – as usual – in your plugin page (in the next hour or so i would have thought).
ps:
if you are busy at the moment, this can also wait til tomorrow (or whenever you have time) – especially if it currently works your end

i can only think of a some very borderline situation where this might be the case (perhaps)
not boring you with details here, try the following(although if you already changed things to use the long list we talked about instead and it works, it may be something to try tomorrow when you are not open !!!)
do this:
delete that code entirely and save
add a new code option and re-enter that code/exclusions/options/details as was.
savedoes it work now ?
(i am just wondering if you had/used the same code 2x, but as they have to be unique, the settings from one got saved with the other…again, very borderline and not 100% thought through if this could be the case even but if redoing of it works than at least one has some possible strting point)
if the huge list you are referring to is a temporary solution, than do that until i can determine what may be the issue…
you misunderstand.
i am not going to do anything at all on your site (i am not going to add or edit/disable whatever things) i will try reproduce things here …furthermore, downgrading does not stop you from receiving updates (you are just going one step back, and when the next update arrives, you are jumping the current one)….
i honestly think it has nothing to do with any updates (99% certain) – i will shut up now as i need to reproduce this and chatting away here does not exactly speed things up…
btw, if you are certain that the previous version worked , there should be no problem in downgrading to that one (although i strongly doubt that that is the issue)
still there it seems, cant currently give you a reason or ETA.
I’ll have to try to reproduce this first - AuthorPosts
